Tamil Nadu political parties and leaders have welcomed Tamil superstar Vijay’s entry into politics as he announced the formation of his new political party, Thamizhaga Vetri Katchi. Vaiko, a veteran leader and founder of Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), expressed his support for Vijay’s decision to enter politics, highlighting his contributions to Tamil Nadu and expressing hope for his success. Udayanidhi Stalin, the Tamil Nadu Minister for Sports development and Youth welfare, and DMK youth wing President, also welcomed Vijay’s decision, emphasizing the democratic right for individuals to start a political party and wishing him success. The Tamil Nadu BJP President, K.Annamalai, echoed these sentiments, welcoming Vijay into politics and acknowledging his goal to fight against corrupt politics and serve the people. Naam Tamilar Katchi (NTK) leader Seeman cautioned Vijay about the challenges of sustaining in politics while floating a party was easy, and Tamil Nadu Congress President, KS Alagiri, also welcomed Vijay’s entry into politics.
