Must read

A proposal was made during a meeting between London Lord Mayor Michael Mainelli and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to name an AI Hub in London after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, a historical figure known for his resistance against the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb and for implementing efficient administrative systems in his realm. Chief Minister Shinde welcomed the proposal and also suggested installing a statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in London. The meeting covered various topics including artificial intelligence, environmental concerns such as clean air, and information technology, with both parties expressing interest in collaborating under the theme of ‘Connecting to Prosperity.’ The legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj extends beyond his military prowess, with recognition for his contributions to governance and administration, particularly in establishing an effective administrative structure within his territories. The proposal to name an AI center after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj comes amidst global discussions on artificial intelligence, with the UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak organizing the world’s first AI Safety Summit in November. India was represented at the summit by Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Minister Chandrasekhar emphasized the need for international cooperation in establishing ethical guidelines for AI development, calling for a consensus among nations to define boundaries and ensure accountability in the realm of artificial intelligence.
