Guide on Registering as an NRI Voter: Follow These Steps

Must read

NRIs, also known as overseas electors, are Indian citizens residing outside of India who have not acquired citizenship of any other country and are eligible to be registered as voters based on their address in India. They can only vote in person at the polling station in the constituency where their Indian address is registered. As an NRI voter, you can shape the future of India, stay connected to your roots, and empower your community. To be eligible to vote, you must be an Indian citizen above 18 years of age, register in your constituency in India based on your passport address, and submit Form 6A to the registration officer, which can be done online or through the postal system. You can access Form 6A through the website of the Election Commission of India and enclose a recent passport-size colored photograph and photocopies of relevant pages of your passport when submitting the form.
