The Telugu Desam Party, led by former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu, has enlisted political strategist Prashant Kishor to help the party develop its strategy for the upcoming assembly elections in the state. Kishor, the founder of the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), arrived in Vijayawada with TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh to hold talks with Naidu. The TDP had been in discussions with Kishor for three months to engage his services as an advisor to help the party defeat the ruling YSR Congress Party in the upcoming elections. Kishor’s previous work with the YSRCP and his return to Andhra Pradesh politics to assist the TDP has created political waves. Experts believe Kishor could be instrumental in helping the TDP build its image, develop campaign strategies, and create a narrative to challenge the Jagan Mohan Reddy government. Though the YSRCP responded cautiously to the development, it is seen as a significant move as the TDP-Jana Sena Party combine emerges as a formidable force in the state.
